This isn’t a revival of yesterday’s theme , but rather by something from the Jalopnik a few days ago.

This is a 2002 dodge ram 1500 full size van

Kinja'd!!!

Length 192.6

W idth 78.8

Height 79.7

Weight 4192 lbs

This is a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Minivan

Kinja'd!!!

Length 203.6 inches

Width 79.6 inches

Height 69.9 inches

Weight 4330 lbs

Even the 250 with the 127 wheelbase is only a few inches longer than the P acifica at 208 inches overall.

I had a 1996 ram van 2500 . High roof conversion van too.

I miss it sometimes.

1984 Dodge Caravan:

Length: 175.9"

Width: 69.6"

Height: 64.4"

Weight: 2,934 lbs

In case anyone needs proof minivans have become massive.

The main difference between the SWB Dodge and the Pacifica is that way more SWB Dodge full-size vans ended up on their sides or roofs at some point. They were a serious handful to drive.

well the SWB was only 109 inches.  Thats crazy short for something that tall.  I mean the pacifica is like 121.6

Yup. 109" wheelbase plus all that height. Plus a truck suspension that dated back to 1970. Recipe for disaster in less-than-skilled hands.

I always loved the proportions of these, especially the SWB.
